Self-defense techniques are the backbone of Williams Kenpo Karate. We maintain a strict code of ethics that does not promote violence. Our structured training teaches students the essential elements of martial arts and self-discipline. Basics such as punching, kicking and maneuvering are grouped into pre-planned techniques to assist the practitioner in building a library of motion.
Participants will learn to properly execute a punch, kick with power, strike and block using natural body movements. Our classes are very aerobic and allow an individual to progressively develop higher levels of cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, strength and greater muscle tone. The resulting increased sense of balance, neuromuscular coordination and agility is beneficial to both adults and children.
